Hi Michael, Is there a reason why you don't want to use html-formatted rss feeds? Because for the axistv rss crawl adapter it doesn't really matter whether you are using plain text or html fornatted rss feeds. The rss crawl adapter should be able to just present you with plain text from the description...

RSS (newbie)

Hi list... I'm relatively new to Visix and I've never implemented RSS before. I am looking for documentation on how to do that, but not finding any. Also, I don't have an RSS item in my Configure menu set in AxisTV. Can anyone offer tips or a tutorial on how to implement it? thanks, - Mike

FTP blocked, can I still import weather

I work on an Army installation that blocks access to FTP, does anyone know of other settings for the weather plugin that does not utilize FTP to retrieve weather information?

Re: Character Limit on RSS News Bulletins?

Is that a total for all the news pieces (Headline, Brief, Date etc)? We only have the body text of the Headline, body text of the Brief and the date showing and our totals are around 325 so I wondered if it was counting what isn't displayed in that too?
