Two quick questions:

In the release notes it says the Channel Player Emulator requires licensing...does that mean it costs money?

Can one upgrade from .14 to .20 directly or does the path have to include release .17?

 Hi cpalmer,

The Channel Player Emulator consumes a Channel Player license in the AxisTV system.  This means that if you have added as many Channel Players to your system as you are licensed (this will be most customers), then you must purchase an additional Channel Player license to be able to use the Emulator.  Please contact Visix for pricing.

You may wish to consider the Channel Player Snapshot, released in build 7.0.21.  This feature allows users to view a screen capture, or “snapshot”, of what is currently playing on each Channel Player in their network. This feature is an assigned privilege called View Player Snapshots and is given only to the Administrator by default.

You can apply build 7.0.20 or 7.0.21 directly to build 7.0.14.
