Crawllist slowdown after upgrading to .20

After upgrading to .20 all my crawllists are, pardon the pun, absolutely "crawling". I double checked the speed of the crawllist under configure -> content settings and they are still set at "4", which is where they were before the upgrade. I even changed the setting to see if that makes any difference and it didn't at all. The crawllist didn't go any slower or any faster.

It seems like the crawllist speed stuck on "slow", as it takes about 20-25 seconds for a word to make its way across the screen (I had it set at a pretty quick pace originally).

    Thoughts? What am I missing?

We have the same problem.  I am opening a call with Visix.  Do you happen to also have any channel players that will not communicate with the server after they were upgraded?

All our channel players are working fine other than the crawllist. Although it does seem to take forever for them to respond to a layout change.. but perhaps that's normal when you get above a certain number of players.

7.0.20 asserts a flag on the Channel Players which triggers an alternate ticker engine.  To return to the default ticker engine, remove (or hide by renaming) the “ticker.overlay” file located in the AxisTV Channel Player folder on the Channel Players.

Removing (or hiding by renaming) "ticker.overlay" fixes the issue. I'd love to see a patch/hot fix from Visix on this issue - I have over 20 players on multiple campuses and remote desktop'ing on each CP is not an ideal way to apply the fix.

Anyone from Visix are welcome to jump in.

Anyone find a way to do this without having to remote into each channel player. What about a command line from the channel player utility?

Here are steps that I came up with:

    1. Make sure AxisTV Channel Player Utilities is running.

    2. Click on AxisTVServices -> List Services -> Select all services -> Stop Selected AxisTV Services

    3. Click on AxisTVAd-Hoc Maintenance -> List Players -> Select players

    4. In the Command Line box, enter  cmd /c del "c:\program files\visix\AxisTV Channel Player\ticker.overlay"

    5. Click Excute on Player(s) button.

    6. Click on AxisTVServices -> List Services -> Select all services -> Start Selected AxisTV Services

So far, these steps work for me.

    Regards,
