Using Java programs on displays - need help

I want to use the NOAA local radar site on our displays.

The web site requires JAVA in order to use it.

Do I need to install JAVA on the server and the player or just one of them?

    Is JAVA compatible with Visix?

The site I am using is the following...

    http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=lvx&product=N0R&overlay=11101111&loop=yes

Any help would be most appreciated.

    Hi there,

Are you using the External Graphic Link to display your url? If yes then I'm afraid it will not work because your url is not pointing to a dynamic .jpg image but rather to a web page. But in the case it is working on your side then Java should be installed in the channel player because it is the channel player reaching out to your NOAA site and showing the radar map.

    Thank you.
