    7.0.17 Software Update is Available

    AxisTV version 7.0.17 is now available. All users are encouraged to upgrade at their earliest opportunity to ensure continued maximum performance of their AxisTV system. Download of the new software is free to all customers with a current Software Maintenance Agreement. AxisTV's latest update includes a variety of new features and enhancements for a significantly improved user experience. A few highlights of the latest release include:
    • Web page bulletin display within channel player layouts (with purchase of feature license)
    • Enhanced background selection using thumbnail views
    • Increased news ticker length
    • Improved usability and navigation
    • Support for the Interactive MeetingMinder Room sign

    Download installation file

    Unzip the file

    Run setup.exe

    Ask to reboot

    Log back in

    Message on the Desktop says "Licenses not Activated"

     

    Please help.

    Managed to activate the server license. But, can't log in even with the default administrator with the default password.

     after you installed the software and rebooted you need to run the upgrade device from program files, visix.

    then reboot and it should work.

    Jason, thanks for the info. Did what you have suggested and got message below - still no good on logging in.

     okay, what I would probably do next is to try to uninstall and then reinstall the software again. then after you reinstall it and it reboots run the upgrade device thing again, make sure you uncheck that checkbox that says something like upgrading from a version lower than 5.x if you are upgrading from a later version from that, i forget exactly what it says.

    maybe it just happens to be there was an error when reinstalling or something

    "Uninstall and then reinstall the software" seems the most ideal step. My concerns are 1) will database be kept intact - users login and password are unaffected; 2) contents that were created will unaffected; and 3) content server and players configuration will remain the same.

     all of that will be saved as long as you back up your system before you uninstall, it should be in the axistv support folder of the drive you installed the system on.  If you dont have it you can download it from the download support utility.

    I am having the same problem when upgrading from 7.0.14 to 7.0.19.  How did you fix this issue?  I have to upgrade the system over the weekend so that there is not any downtime.  If someone can give me some input, it would be great.

    I'm having the same issues going from.17 to .19. Upgrade went well (no errors) but I can no longer login to the system. I'll try another uninstall/reinstall and see if that helps.

    I called the tech support 1-800-572-4935. They helped me with the upgrade.
